Well, highway 40 is shut down and nothing horrible has come of it yet. I think this is going to end up like “Pope Syndrome” a few years back: there will be so much fear of crowds that no one will go. That’s the way it seems now, at least.

Went to a murder mystery dinner-ish thing for New Years. The smokers did a number on my bronchioles but it was fun playing two different characters, complete with forgetting who I was a couple times. I played a bloodsucking Louisiana lawyer and a goth novelist chick. Really fun times.

Had a terrible dream about work. When it comes to dreams about work my brain always chooses worst case scenarios. This was pretty much about the stupid workshop thing (which is gone now) throwing up all over my demo lab so that there were glue sticks everywhere… ugh. And as I was cleaning up, kids were jumping the stanchions and playing with chemicals. At least I called security in the dream. And started making a list of what chemicals I was out of after the kids took them.

I’d really like to drop everything and go to MAGfest. However, I’ve already taken too much time off and if my mom is irked about my Chicago trip, she’d be extremely mad about this. Next year, Gadget, next year!
